This concert was such a privilege to photograph. Audio Adrenaline is a band that I’ve been listening to for years and years. Their music, message and ministry has been part of my life since my teenage years and have been such a great source of encouragement and entertainment.
After a several year hiatus, they’ve taken up the mantle again bringing in another face (and voice) that’s familiar to me – Kevin Max. His former band, DC Talk was another great influence in my teenage years. So much nostalgia to handle and all at the same time getting to use my camera in a way that I don’t have opportunity to as often as I’d like.
First off, though, I want to recognize another set of celebrities that evening. The show was organized by the local Youth for Christ and hosted by Restored Church. I know how easy it is to focus on the ‘heroes’ on stage rocking out under the lights with their electric guitars, microphones, and drums. Jerry and Ed from YfC, Tim and Dan (pastors of the church) and over 50 volunteers worked to make this concert possible. They all rally around the same mission and message that every man, woman, and child should have repeated opportunities to see and hear the good news of Jesus.

Dan Nichols with his wife Joy – he’s one of the pastors at the church.

Dexter was the MC for the evening and spent some time sharing his life story and the hope that he found as a follower of Jesus.

Jerry Major – He’s been running the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Youth for Christ since before I moved to the area 12 years ago.

Tim Walker – pastor of Restored Church. In between sets, the church was promoting for an organization that helps feed children in underprivileged situations.

Ryan Stevenson – opening act, great music.

Next up – Stellar Kart

And… Disciple

Kevin Max – Audio Adrenaline.

He was smiling for one of the girls in the crowd…

Pretty sweet light show.

Will was with Audio A at the beginning – it’s awesome to see him still rocking out strong.

It was really neat to see the guys hang out to sign autographs and chat with the fans after the show.
