After receiving a phone call from Joe & Sarah to set up a consultation with me, I did a quick facebook search for them so that I would be able to recognize them at our meeting. Only a few hours later, I was shopping with my girlfriend, Stacy, and trying on some shirt & tie combinations. Walking out of the dressing room, I did a double take as a very familiar face walked by me in the opposite direction.
I turned to Stacy and said, “Hey that’s the couple I’m supposed to meet on Monday! They have no clue what I look like, but I found them by creeping on facebook…”
A somewhat awkward introduction followed, but I quickly found that Joe & Sarah were a super easy going couple and I knew I’d be privileged to shoot their wedding. Thankfully after our consultation we were all on the same page and last Sunday we got to work together on their engagement photos.
We had e-mailed back and forth hoping that we’d get some snow over a February weekend. You know that white powdery stuff that’s oddly been missing during this year’s super mild winter… Well, we picked a day and the weather cooperated beautifully!
And then we started to get our snow…
It was getting a little chilly with the wind and snow, but they toughed it out! (mostly…)
And then they broke into dance on the roof of a parking garage… Absolutely love it!
Can’t wait till August!
