When I tell my clients that I’m open to put pretty much anything together to creatively express who they are in unique images, I don’t think that I always get my point across well enough. Since I met Maria & Keith, I can now easily illustrate my point with this absolutely fantastic engagement session that they put together.
Maria loves silent films and Keith is by far the most articulate comic book nerd I’ve ever met. They asked if it would be possible to incorporate a damsel in distress/superhero trope into their engagement session and after a good amount of e-mails and a couple of sit-down brainstorming sessions, we had our plan.
Costumes, props, and a picnic table carried out into the woods was just the start. They also recruited a friend to role-play the villian for us.
This is one of those engagement shoots where the pictures do tell the story, so please enjoy…
The End.
Maria and Keith, you two are awesome and I’m excited beyond words to shoot your wedding this winter. Thanks for the opportunity to stretch out a bit creatively and to tell your story in such a fun fashion.
Anyone who’s seen Dustin Hoffman in Hook knows how a good villain makes for a better story, so hat’s off to Kyle who embraced his role and made these images possible. Here’s your party shot!
